Back to School - RPAG 101
Grab your pencils and take your seats, because class is in session! Our first class of this semester is all about the RPAG portal and how to use some of our most popular resources to increase your efficiency and lessen the time you spend on monotonous tasks. Our resident portal expert, Alexis Patenaude, takes you step by step through these processes.
Included in this session:
- How to use the Meeting Minutes
- How to find Resources in the Resource Center
- How to create an FIR report
- How to instantly access scorecards on your plan cards
Summary
To begin, Alexis shows you how to find resources in the Resource Center. Think of the Resource Center as a library of documents within RPAG. This contains educational material as well as marketing content to help you efficiently market and interact with plan sponsors or participants. In the Resource Center you will also find the Fiduciary Fitness program, containing education and documentation modules, and the Fiduciary Compliance & Plan Design folder where you can find investment policy statements. In regard to marketing, if you do not have the Premium Marketing membership, you do still have access to our monthly and quarterly memos that can be sent to plan sponsors and/or participants. With our Resource Center being so vast, Alexis recommends using the search bar in the top right to find specifically what you're looking for using a key word such as "ESG" or "benchmarking"
On a client's details page, you will be able to access meeting minutes, scorecards, and FIR reports. For scorecards, once on the client details page, you will scroll down until you see their plan card. If you don't see one or your client has multiple plans, you can click the plus sign on the right to add in the information. On the plan card you will see a scorecard button that you can click which will auto-download the report to your computer.
On the same plan card, you can see an "Invesment Review" button. You can also access the FIR at the bottom of a plan's detail page under the Reports section. When you land on the FIR page of a client, you have the option to download any previous reviews that you have run. For starting a new FIR report, you have to review the fund lineup before moving on to considerations. You cannot go back after confirming, so it is important to really review before continuing on. Step 2 is where you can put up funds for consideration and map different funds. Step 3 is where you will build your report using templates that you have uploaded into the RPAG portal. If you don't have a template, you can create a custom one or use one of the RPAG templates.
Lastly, Alexis went over how to create a meeting minutes report. Going back to the client details page, you'll click the plus sign next to "Meeting Minutes." You will then select the Report Type and specific report that you have run. Keep in mind that only 1 Meeting Minutes report can be generated per report type. Input the rest of the information and customize it to your company's needs. The final step is to press "Save & Generate Report" to download the Meeting Minutes. After it is saved, you will be able to see it on the Meeting Minutes tab on the Client Details page.
