RPAG’s Fiduciary Update

The IRS recently released more than 100 pages of guidance on several key provisions of the SECURE Act 2.0. Specifically, the IRS guidance answers important questions regarding:

  • Expanding automatic enrollment in 401(k) and 403(b) plans
  • New tax credits for plan startup costs and employer contributions
  • Terminal illness distributions
  • Safe harbor corrections for failing to properly implement employee 401(k) and 403(b) elections
  • Optional treatment of employer contributions as Roth contributions.
Learn more about actions you should be taking now to help your clients design the terms and features of their tax-qualified retirement plans to align with these new rules.
